Just as i got used to the lifestyle my father had me on - spending money, not caring how much was in the bank account - he found himself in the position of having a girlfriend who is, to say the least, a neat freak, and just as it is with her immaculate home, so it has to be with her money. So she gave my dad a budget, and they arranged an allowance for me. The allowance is good enough for me, and the girlfriend, I absolutely adore. But how's it going with the budget, you ask? I don't think he even realizes he has one. Ah, like so many other lost souls, he's been sucked into the wonderous trap that is referred to, by you commoners, as Amazon.com. That's right. He buys everything there.. and when I say everything, I mean everything!
But let's stray from the dim subject of the economic situation in my home, to the social life that was, untill recently, non-exsistent. How do you get friends in a large friendly city like New York, when you don't have a job, go to school, or have any other social activities where it could be possible for you to meet other people? Well, there's a fabulous website, which I proclaim to the world to be the best thing ever to happen to man, or atleast me-man; meetup.com. Why? because it's the entire reason I have a social life now. How? I joined the larges Harry Potter meetup group in the world - The Group That Shall Not Be Named. They're absolutely wonderful. All smart, intellectual, fantastic people, with the same interests as I have. I didn't think such beings exsisted, but alas.. there they were, the whole time, hiding behind the frilly curtain that is Harry Potter fandom. How's the fandom going? well everything is swell! I went to the cover-to-cover reading of the 10th anniversary book at the scholastic headquarters on Broadway. I went to several Wrock (wizard rock) shows. Everything is wonderful in New York.
What are my plans? As dear daddykins is going to Dallas (I feel so bad for him) for work stuff for a week, I plan on having a small get-together at my place (which,of course, means PARTYTIME!). Then, in Feb. my mother is coming to visit me, and I'll be spending two weeks with her. In March, some dude I met on Facebook is coming to stay with us for anohter two weeks.
As for the not-so-near future? All I can tell you now is that I'm getting my GED, I'm starting (hopefully in their june course) the Arrojo cosmetology school, and I'm going to go explore some acting agencies with the guy coming to visit in March.
I would've gone on and on about my dreary life here, but I'm getting tired, and I need to clean the house, then go to sleep.
You love me, and you missed me,
Shae
PS: OH and I quit smoking, 'cause they're frickin' expensive here, and I dot' wanna use my money on it
